An unusual gathering of veteran rockers and new artists delivers up mostly rare and unreleased tracks to benefit the innovative anti-hunger organization WHY, founded more than 30 years ago by singer-songwriter Harry Chapin. Hard Rock International lives up to its creed to "Love All, Serve All" and continues their ongoing partnership with WHY to bring you Serve2, which includes everything from Springsteen doing "Ghost of Tom Joad" live in Dublin with his Seeger Sessions Band to Springsteen aficionados, the Hold Steady, doing their "Arms and Hearts." KT Tunstall offers up "Heal Over," performed live in London. Dylan is represented with his eternally scorching protest number, "The Ballad of Hollis Brown," live from Carnegie Hall in 1963, while Brandi Carlile also digs into Dylan's back pages for a live version of "The Times They Are A-Changin'." O.A.R. is here, live from the Garden, and Jackson Browne, live from Australia. And many others. Digital-only bonus tracks include Hellogoodbye rocking "Baby It's Fact," live in New York, and Sons of William tackling Derek and the Dominoes' classic "Bell Bottom Blues." But what really brings this disparate group together on this surprising and powerful collection is, of course, the very good cause: fighting hunger and the poverty and powerlessness that are at its root. The songs will be distributed digitally by The Orchard and released exclusively for the first two weeks on iTunes and then with other online music retailers. |

| Brandi's Green Initiative for the Fall Tour | |
|
Brandi will donate $.50 from every ticket sold on the fall tour to the environmental non-profit organization Reverb. With this donation, Reverb will help Brandi plan an environmentally sustainable tour and will offset the estimated global warming CO2 emissions from the tour with NativeEnergy by helping build new Native American and family farmer owned renewable energy projects. The emissions offset will include venue electricity use, band vehicle travel, and fan travel to and from the shows. The CO2 reductions from this donation will be equivalent to keeping the average car from driving over 3,000,000 miles! By offsetting the CO2 pollution that touring activities such as transporting gear, powering stages and fan travel generate, Brandi is taking a proactive role in fighting global warming and helping Native Americans and family farmers begin to restore sustainable homeland economies in balance with the Earth.

Many of the pre-sale tickets are sold out but none of these shows are completely sold out yet. Brandi was allotted a % of tickets for each show and if you did not get tickets for a particular show via the pre-sale you will have the opportunity to buy tickets when they go on sale to the public this Saturday (2/17). Direct ticket links will be posted on this site as soon as they are available. We'll continue to try to get as many tickets as possible for future pre- sales but again, if you didn't get tickets please try again this Saturday (for most shows).

The new album, titled The Story, is finished and the release date is set for April 3rd! It was recorded in Vancouver and produced by T Bone Burnett. The final track listing is: 1 - Late Morning Lullaby 2 - The Story 3 - Turpentine 4 - My Song 5 - Wasted 6 - Have You Ever 7 - Josephine 8 - Losing Heart 9 - Cannonball 10 - Until I Die 11 - Downpour 12 - Shadow On The Wall 13 - Again Today Which leads us to... "The Story" - The Song "The Story" is the first single at radio and will start getting airplay (knock on wood) in mid-February. Please listen for "The Story" and let your favorite local radio station know they should be playing it! "The Story" will also be available digitally on January 16th on iTunes, Sony Connect, Rhapsody, Wal-mart, Best Buy Music, Yahoo, Napster, Zune and MTV Urge. "The Story" Ringtone and Ringback tone will be available on January 23rd. Check with your cell phone carrier for details. Spring Tour The new headlining tour will be finalized in the coming weeks and we hope to announce the dates in early February. Brandi will be hitting the road in late March for about eight weeks. |
